No Luck Club started in July of 2023 but the journey started long before that in 2014. Mario and I walked into a halfway house at the same time. Both 30 years old and ready to Make big changes in our lives. Mario was my personal trainer, and we went to meetings everyday together. Things we still do to this day. we ended up going to a sober living house together after that. And the crazy part is we purchase our first house from that owner 10 years later. since those days, we have always thought and talked about how we could do this ourselves and really help people. The dream is still big and growing with the connections we are making for employment housing and many other road blocks we ran into on our journey. Our dedication has remained consistent over the years. We have always been willing to put the work in and still are with our hearts set in the right place. The story behind the name of no luck club comes from the last time I was in treatment in 2017. When people leave, there is always a graduation ceremony. People go hard and say nice things and meaning well. Everyone almost, always say "Good Luck!" It hit me then. This was my 7th treatment, and there was No Luck involved. It came to me that I should share my truth. If you don't work for this everyday, your chances are good. There is No Luck in this. Just like anything good in this life... you have to put the work in. When it came time to think of a name for our house, I had it! I called Mario and said the "No Luck Club" and explained. He understood and from that day in 2014, up until now and forever, it's No Luck Club with everything. Come Join the Club!
